FAQs

Do you only work with women?

While much of my practice focuses on women, I also work with men and people of all genders who are navigating chronic illness, injury, or medical trauma.

What can I expect in the first session?

Our first full session is focused on getting to know you—your story, what you’re going through now, and what you hope to find in therapy. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe and grounded.

Do you offer a consultation before starting?

Yes. I meet with all new clients for a free 15-minute consultation call to answer your questions and ensure we’re a good fit before beginning therapy.

What happens during the free 15-minute consultation?

This is simply a chance for us to connect, talk about what you’re looking for, and see if we’re a good fit. There’s no pressure—it’s just an opportunity to ask questions and get a feel for working together.

What if I’m in crisis? Do you provide crisis services?

No. I do not provide crisis services or 24/7 support. My clients are individuals with a high level of functional capacity who are looking for therapeutic support with chronic illness, injury, or medical trauma. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or need immediate support, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

Are you an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist?

Yes. My practice is inclusive and affirming of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and relationship structures, including polyamory. Everyone deserves a safe space to be respected and supported.

What is your approach to body image?

I practice from a body-neutral perspective. This means we don’t judge your body as “good” or “bad,” but instead focus on how you experience living in it—especially when illness, injury, or trauma have changed your relationship with your body.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

No, at this time, I provide online telehealth sessions only, serving clients located anywhere in Georgia.

Do I need a referral to see you?

No. You can schedule a consultation and begin therapy with me directly—no referral is required.

Do you only work with people who have chronic illness or medical trauma?

No. While my specialty is supporting clients with illness, injury, and medical trauma, I also work with people navigating anxiety, stress, grief, and major life transitions.

Can I work with you if I live outside of Georgia?

No. Due to licensure laws, I am only able to provide therapy to clients located in Georgia at the time of their session.

What technology do I need for online sessions?

You’ll need a private space, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone. I’ll provide a secure telehealth link before each session.
